About the Spirit of Vancouver Island
The Spirit of Vancouver Island is a Spirit-class ship built as a near-sister to the Spirit of British Columbia. Together the two Spirits handle the majority of sailings on the Tsawwassen–Swartz Bay run between Metro Vancouver and Victoria.
She carries roughly two thousand passengers and several hundred vehicles per crossing, and is a common sight on the busiest BC Ferries route in the system.
