About Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal sits at the end of Highway 17 in Delta, about 35 km south of downtown Vancouver, on a causeway reaching into the Strait of Georgia. It is the mainland gateway for traffic heading to Victoria, Nanaimo's Duke Point terminal, and the Southern Gulf Islands.

Tsawwassen is the busiest mainland terminal in the BC Ferries system. On summer weekends and long weekends the holding compound fills well ahead of departure, and overflow traffic backs up along the causeway — which is exactly what the traffic tower cameras above show you before you commit to the drive.
